Man Injured in Bayview Shooting Wednesday Evening

A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday evening, police said.

The shooting was reported at 6:05 p.m. in the 1600 block of La Salle Avenue, just east of Third Street, and officers arrived to find numerous shell casings, a car with bullet holes, and blood near the vehicle, according to police.

No victim was found at the scene, but shortly afterward a car arrived at San Francisco General Hospital’s emergency room with the 36-year-old victim, who had been shot in the arm, leg and abdomen, police said.

The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspects in the shooting were described as two men in their 20s or 30s in a blue Nissan vehicle. They remained at large as of this morning, according to police.
