Shooting Victim Refuses to Give SFPD Suspect Description

A man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds early Sunday morning in San Francisco’s Mission District refused to provide a description of the gunman, a police spokeswoman said today.

The victim, a San Francisco man in his 30s, suffered at least two gunshot wounds to his leg in the 800 block of Alabama Street near 20th Street at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan.

Police received 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area and shortly thereafter the victim, who was driven by a family member, arrived at San Francisco General Hospital, Gatpandan said.

Gatpandan said that the victim did not cooperate with the police investigation and that no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

The motive for the shooting also remains under investigation, according to police.
