Driver Suspected of DUI Suffers Serious Injuries in Crash

Police arrested a man Thursday evening in Ingleside after he crashed his vehicle into two cars and suffered life-threatening injuries.

At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to the scene of a crash in the 1800 block of Geneva Avenue, according to police.

A 58-year-old man who was driving a maroon Nissan Maxima rear-ended one car and then struck another parked car, police said.

A 32-year-old man who was inside the vehicle that was rear-ended complained of pain, but his injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

The driver of Nissan Maxima suffered internal injuries that were considered life-threatening. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, police said.

Police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI, however, because of his condition police are waiting to conduct a further investigation pending his release from the hospital.
