Woman Struck by Budget Rental Van in Western Addition

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood on Saturday morning, police said.

The pedestrian, described by police as a woman in her 30s, was on the corner of Divisadero and O’Farrell streets at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday when a white Budget rental van struck her.

Police said the woman was standing on the corner waiting to cross the street when the driver of the van made a right turn and hit her.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene without stopping, police said.

The pedestrian suffered head trauma and internal injuries. She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
