Man Robbed at Gunpoint Follows Suspect to Public Place, Reclaims his Property

A 25-year-old man who was robbed at gunpoint in downtown San Francisco on Thursday night followed the perpetrator to a public place where he successfully managed to reclaim his property, police said.

The suspect, described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s, approached the victim near the intersection of Larkin and Fern streets around 11:40 p.m., according to officers.

Police said the suspect pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and took the victim’s wallet and cellphone before fleeing the area, police said.

The victim, who was uninjured, followed the suspect to a crowded public place and then confronted him.

Police said the suspect, who has not yet been identified or arrested, gave the victim back his wallet and cellphone.
