SoMa Homicide Victim Identified

A 24-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Monday evening has been identified, according to the San Francisco medical examiner’s office.

Wise Revis was found suffering from stab wounds to his torso in the 400 block of Minna Street shortly after the stabbing was reported at 6:49 p.m. Monday.

Despite live-saving measures, Revis was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police arrested 33-year-old Antonio Taylor at about 11:55 p.m. Monday after he was seen and detained near Fifth and Bryant streets. He matched the description of a suspect seen leaving the area after the stabbing, according to police.

Homicide investigators interviewed Taylor and eventually booked him into jail on suspicion of murder, possession of heroin and an outstanding traffic warrant.

According to San Francisco District Attorney’s Office spokesman Alex Bastian, Taylor is facing voluntary manslaughter charges and is scheduled for arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the San Francisco Hall of Justice.
