Victim Uncooperative After Being Shot in Visitacion Valley

A 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound walked into a San Francisco hospital after being shot in the city’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood Wednesday night, police said.

According to officers, the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.

However, the victim has told police that he was shot near the intersection of Leland Avenue and Peabody Street, near the Hans Schiller Plaza of the Visitacion Valley Greenway, sometime prior to 8:30 p.m.

Shortly after the shooting, the victim walked into San Francisco General Hospital seeking medical assistance for injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.

Police said no arrests have been made in the case but that the suspect is believed to be male.
