Five Arrested in Raid of Bayview Marijuana Grow House

Five people were arrested in San Francisco’s Bayview District last week after police raided an illegal marijuana grow house with over 200 plants, according to police.

San Francisco police served a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Palou Avenue near Newhall Street on Dec. 9.

Officers rang the doorbell and announced their presence.

The officers entered the residence and detained the occupants of the residence prior to searching the premises, police said.

The search of the residence first revealed a room containing over 165 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

A second room was found containing an additional 64 marijuana plants.

Police said the rooms had hydroponics and lighting equipment, as well as intake fans blowing fresh air into the room.

Harvested marijuana was also found drying in the residence’s dining room, police said.

Additional evidence was seized at the scene and the five individuals present at the residence were arrested on numerous narcotics cultivation related charges, as well as conspiracy, according to police.
