Lakeside Business Robbed at Gunpoint

San Francisco police are seeking a suspect who robbed a business in the city’s Lakeside neighborhood on Tuesday evening.

The robbery was reported at 7:09 p.m. in the 2500 block of Ocean Avenue between Junipero Serra Boulevard and Woodacre Drive, police said.

The male suspect approached a cashier at the business and pretended to purchase an item, but when the employee opened the cash register, the suspect pointed a handgun at her, according to police.

The suspect then reached into the cash register and removed money form it, then fled from the business. He had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The 22-year-old employee was not injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
