The Chinese consulate in San Francisco welcomed its 12th consul general Friday.
Luo Linquan started his new tour of duty after arriving at San Francisco International Airport, where consulate staff and leaders of San Francisco’s Chinese community greeted him and his wife.
“We have seen closer and productive cooperation between China and the San Francisco Consular District in recent years,” Linquan said in a statement. “And we will continue to see boundless possibilities and broader prospects ahead.”
Linquan previously served as a foreign affairs official in China and as the Chinese ambassador to Greece and Ireland.
