A woman suffered smoke inhalation in a one-alarm fire at an abandoned warehouse in San Francisco’s Hunters Point neighborhood this morning, a fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at Cargo Way and Third Street around 7:15 a.m., the dispatcher said.

Fire crews arrived to find lots of smoke coming from the building and had the blaze under control by about 8:20 a.m., she said.

Firefighters rescued a 23-year-old woman from the building by ladder, the dispatcher said.

She was transported to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation, the dispatcher said.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
