Two Arrested For Fatal Bayview Shooting

Two suspects have been arrested in a shooting that killed one man and injured another in San Francisco’s Bayview District earlier this month, police said.

Fotu Paopao Jr., 19, and an unidentified juvenile suspect were arrested in connection with the Sept. 5 shooting of Latrell Shaw, 19, just after midnight in the first block of Nicholas Way.

Shaw was found there and taken to San Francisco General Hospital but died from his injuries, according to police.

A 27-year-old man was shot in his lower body at the same time and arrived at the hospital on his own. His injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Paopao was booked into jail on suspicion of murder and the juvenile suspect was booked into the city’s Juvenile Justice Center.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
