Man Throws Bottle At Woman Then Stabs Her When Confronted

San Francisco police are investigating a stabbing this morning in the Tenderloin District.

Police responded at 3:30 a.m. to Ellis and Leavenworth streets to a report of a stabbing and learned a woman had been cut and stabbed by an unknown suspect.

Police said the suspect threw a glass bottle at the woman, and when she confronted him, he pulled a knife and attacked her.

The 45-year-old woman suffered non life-threatening injuries to her arms and chest in the attack and was transported to the hospital.

Police described the suspect as man between 50 and 60 years old.
