Robbers Hold Up Potrero Hill Bar

A trio of robbers armed with handguns stole money from a bar in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said today.

The robbery was reported at 1:45 a.m. at a bar in the 400 block of Potrero Avenue.

The three suspects entered the bar, where one made his way to the counter and held someone at gunpoint, then stole money from a tip jar, cash register and the victim’s pocket, police said.

The other two suspects ordered patrons of the bar onto the floor and one grabbed a purse from a nearby table. The trio, described as men in their 20s, then fled in a burgundy vehicle and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
