Coast Guard in Search of Boater After Fishing Vessel Runs Aground Near Ocean Beach

United States Coast Guard crews are searching for a possible missing boater off Ocean Beach this morning after a fishing boat ran aground, officials said.

Coast Guard crews received information this morning the fishing vessel Paloma was aground at Ocean Beach near Seal Rock in San Francisco.

Officials said there was possibly one person on board.

Officials have identified the person as Timothy Lybrand.

Crews including units from Coast Guard Station Golden Gate, Air Station San Francisco and the San Francisco Fire Department have been dispatched to the scene.

Responders have verified Lybrand was not onboard the vessel and could be in the water.
