Shots Fired Outside San Francisco City Hall

6:03 PM: Police detained one person after gunshots were fired outside of San Francisco City Hall this afternoon, according to a police spokesman.

Reports of shots fired came in at 2:57 p.m. at the corner of McAllister Street and Van Ness Avenue, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
Esparza said there was no other information on the incident available.

No one was injured by the gunfire.

3:48 PM: Gunshots were fired outside of San Francisco City Hall this afternoon, a police spokesman said.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

Police are investigating whether a group of people who had been standing at the street corner were the intended targets of the shooting, Esparza said.

No suspects had been arrested as of this afternoon.
