Suspect At Large After Drive-By Shooting Seriously Injures Man

A 22-year-old man was hit by gunfire while in a car in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday evening, according to police.

The man was riding in the car around 6:10 p.m. on Cargo Way near Mendell Street when a suspect in a black car with tinted windows pulled up alongside him, according to police.

The suspect fired a black semi-automatic gun and the victim was hit, police said.

The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect drove west on Cargo Way and had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
