Baseball Game Traffic Reroutes
From Friday through next Thursday, the San Francisco Giants will play six home games at AT&T Park. Listed below are start times for these games:
Three games against Colorado Rockies:
7:15 p.m., Friday
1:05 p.m., Saturday
1:05 p.m., Sunday
Three games against Los Angeles Dodgers:
7:15 p.m., Tuesday
7:15 p.m., Wednesday
12:45 p.m., Thursday
The SFMTA advises motorists of the increased congestion in downtown San Francisco related to these special events and advises commuters to use transit, taxis, bicycles or walk and to avoid using the Bay Bridge in the two hours before or after these games.
As a reminder to fans, in order to reduce congestion on city streets after all events at AT&T Park, the SFMTA will close eastbound King Street between 3rd and 2nd streets from the seventh inning until after the post-game traffic has died down. Additionally, the northbound portion of the 4th Street (Peter R. Maloney) Bridge will be closed to all traffic except streetcars, buses, taxis and bicycles during the post-game period. Giants fans parked south of Mission Creek Channel who are heading north of the channel are encouraged to exit to the south along 3rd or 4th streets in order to avoid congestion on King and 3rd streets after AT&T Park events.
Cherry Blossom Festival
Over the next two weekends, April 12-13 and April 19-20, the Cherry Blossom Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
The following street closures will be required beginning 4 a.m., Saturday through 11 p.m., Sunday both weekends:
Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore streets
Webster Street between Geary Boulevard and Sutter Street
Intersection: Webster Street at Post Street
The following Muni routes will be affected:
2 Clement
3 Jackson
22 Fillmore
The Cherry Blossom Parade will be held on Sunday, April 20.
Cesar Chavez Parade and Festival
On Saturday the annual Cesar Chavez Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Participants will gather at 19th Street between Dolores and Guerrero streets at 10 a.m. The festival will be held after the parade on 24th Street between Treat and Bryant streets from noon to 6 p.m.
The parade will proceed from Dolores and 19th streets, east on 19th Street, south on Mission Street, east on 24th Street to Folsom Street. The festival area will take place between Treat and Bryant streets.
Streets will re-open as the parade passes. The following closures will be required from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
24th Street between Treat and Bryant streets
Harrison between 23rd and 25th streets
Intersections: Harrison, Alabama, Florida streets at 24th Street
Local residential access will be allowed on Florida and Alabama streets.

Visitacion Valley Street Fair
On Sunday, the annual Visitation Valley Festival and Street Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Leland Avenue at Bayshore Boulevard.
The following street closure will be required from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
Alpha Street between Leland Avenue and Raymond Avenue
There will be no impact on Muni service.
Sunday Streets – Tenderloin
On Sunday, the second Sunday Streets event will take place in the Civic Center and Tenderloin neighborhoods. This 1.6 mile route will travel along Fulton Street, Ellis Street, Golden Gate Avenue, Jones, Turk and Larkin streets.
The route will be available for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to all participants.
The following street closures will be required from 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Jones Street between O’Farrell Street and Golden Gate Avenue
Larkin Street between Grove and O’Farrell Streets
Hyde Street between Golden Gate Avenue and Grove Street
Fulton Street between Larkin and Hyde streets
Golden Gate Avenue between Larkin and Jones streets
Cross traffic will be allowed at the following locations:
Eastbound on McAllister Street
East and westbound on Eddy Street at Larkin and Leavenworth streets
Southbound on Hyde Street between Ellis and Turk streets
Northbound on Leavenworth Street
Traffic will be controlled by Parking Control Officers and San Francisco police officers.

ONGOING WORK: M Ocean View Line Rail Rehabilitation Project
As an ongoing effort to maintain the infrastructure in a state of good repair, SFMTA will replace the aging tracks on the M-Ocean View Line on San Jose Avenue between Geneva and Niagara avenues.
Construction work hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Work has begun and is estimated to last for six weeks.
During construction hours, M Ocean View line will operate on regular Muni buses between stops at Broad Street and Plymouth Avenue and at San Jose and Geneva avenues. These buses will serve the same rail stops. Regular train service will operate between Broad Street/Plymouth Avenue and Embarcadero Station.
UPDATE: Market and Haight Streets Transit and Pedestrian Improvement Project
From Monday and through Wednesday, sewer work will continue on Haight Street for three nights to reconstruct the manhole at the Haight and Octavia intersection in order to maintain the heavy traffic flow in the area during the day. The night work will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the following day.
During the construction hours, the Haight and Octavia intersection will remain open to traffic.
The ongoing daytime sewer work on Haight Street between Octavia and Gough and Market streets intersection will continue for at least another two weeks. Weather permitting, the construction work hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
As part of the project, reconstruction of the manhole at the Gough and Rose streets intersection is expected to begin the week of April 21 with work hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The ongoing sewer work requires closures of the center traffic lanes and removal of street parking on weekdays.
The construction includes replacement of sewer line on Haight Street between Octavia and Market streets; construction of an eastbound transit-only lane on Haight Street between Laguna and Market streets; and widening of sidewalks and upgrade of traffic signal at the intersection of Haight and Gough streets.
There will be no impact on Muni service.
