Mission Fire Displaces 20

The American Red Cross assisted 20 people today who were displaced by a two-alarm early morning fire that occurred in San Francisco’s Mission District, according to a spokesperson.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries in the fire on the 1400 block of Stevenson Street, which was reported at about 6 a.m., according to a fire dispatcher.

The firefighter was injured when he fell about 6 to 10 feet at the scene of the blaze, the dispatcher said.
