Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco will receive a delivery of turkeys from AAA this morning as Thanksgiving Day approaches.
The Rev. Cecil Williams is meeting with AAA representatives to receive the turkeys, which will be brought in on tow trucks at about 11 a.m.
Glide serves nearly 5,000 full Thanksgiving meals to families and individuals in need, according to the church’s website.
AAA plans to deliver more than 10 tons of Thanksgiving turkeys to nonprofits in Northern California, Nevada and Utah this holiday season, according to the organization.
