A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck an area near Blackhawk in Contra Costa County tonight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor occurred at 1:32 a.m. about 4 miles east-northeast of San Ramon and 5 miles east-southeast of Danville.

The earthquake had a depth of about 7.6 miles, according to the USGS.
