Drive Through Gunpoint Robbery In Bayview

A drive-thru fast food restaurant in San Francisco’s Bayview District was robbed early this morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at about 1:30 a.m. at a restaurant in the 300 block of Bayshore Boulevard.

The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, drove up to the drive-thru window in a silver sedan and then reached into the cash register, according to police.

After a struggle with a restaurant employee, the man was able to grab cash from the register and then flee in the car, police said. He has not been found.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
