Sunday’s SOMA Fire Was At Pot Grow Operation

Three people were injured early Sunday morning in a fire at a home in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood where firefighters found marijuana and grow equipment, police said today.

The blaze was reported at about 5:55 a.m. Sunday at a building in the 300 block of 11th Street.

A 38-year-old woman and two men, ages 30 and 36, woke up to discover the fire burning. They were treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.

The firefighters found broken-down grow equipment and marijuana inside the home, police said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze at about 7 a.m.
