Man Injured In BB Gun Shooting

A man was shot in the head with a BB gun near the Alice Griffith public housing complex in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 2400 block of Griffith Street near Fitzgerald Avenue.

The victim was walking along Griffith Street when a sedan drove up alongside him and stopped. The driver of the car then fired the BB gun several times at him, striking him in the head, according to police.

The victim was treated by paramedics for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect fled in the vehicle and had not been found as of this afternoon, according to police.
