A San Francisco theater is asking for donations of unwanted tube TVs that will be smashed as part of an upcoming show about the life of the legendary drummer of the band The Who.
Anyone with old-fashioned and unwanted—but still fully functional—television sets are asked to bring them to the Eureka Theatre between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. today.
Donated TVs will be used in the show “Keith Moon: The Real Me” about the famously destructive drummer. Anyone who drops off a TV will be given two free tickets to see the show.
Actor, author and musician Mick Berry, who is portraying Moon, will destroy the TVs during the one-man show, according to theater officials.
Those with TVs to contribute are asked to email pamcoatestl@gmail.com to schedule a drop-off at the theater, located at 215 Jackson St.
