A woman was shot in the foot while walking in San Francisco’s Bayview District this afternoon, a police spokesman said.
The shooting in the 1400 block of Quesada Avenue was reported at 2:58 p.m. when someone drove by and opened fire on the woman and a male walking with her, police spokesman Albie Esparza said.
Gunfire struck the woman in the foot, and the male victim was not injured, he said.
The woman was taken to the hospital with an injury not considered life-threatening, Esparza said.
The suspect fled in the vehicle.
The woman injured is in her late teens or early 20s.
There was no suspect description, Esparza said.
