Masked Gunman Robs Fifth Street Store

A masked gunman robbed a store in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, police said today.

The robbery was reported at about 1:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Fifth Street, which is near Folsom.

The masked man came into the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to police.

A store employee opened the cash register, backed away and let the suspect grab the money and flee, police said.

The suspect had not been found as of this morning.
