A vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco went off the roadway and into the San Francisco Bay waters this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 101, near the Candlestick park off-ramp at about 12:10 a.m., according to the CHP.
The solo occupant of the vehicle was able to exit the vehicle without injury, according to the CHP.
The vehicle remains fully submerged and the cause of the incident remains under investigation, according to the CHP.
