Appealing Events: Win Free BART Tickets at Blue Sky Festival This Morning

In the spirit of Earth Day and because BART’s all uppity about how much greener it is for the environment than cars, (I’ve seen the graphics at A’s games! We get it, BART, you always beat the Hummer!) everyone’s favorite regional rapid transit is holding its Blue Sky Festival today at Justin Herman Plaza. Located within walking distance of the Embarcadero BART Station, the festival runs from 11am to 2pm and features eco-exhibitors, live music, and what BART is calling “carnival games with an eco twist”.

Just like an elementary school fair, BART will have Blue Sky Passports to take to exhibitors. Once you’ve collected six stamps on that passport, you can redeem it for a free $6 BART ticket. The prize is limited to the first 5,000 people, though all stamped passports will be entered to win one of two folding bikes, which BART proudly boasts are allowed on their trains at all times.

For more information about the festival and BART’s green efforts, visit bart.gov/bluesky.
