A person was struck by a vehicle in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood this afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.
The pedestrian was hit at South Van Ness Avenue and Market Street at about 12:40 p.m., spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
An ambulance responded to transport the victim to a hospital.
The extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately available.
