wave.jpgSan Francisco emergency personnel and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the city’s waterfront this morning to pull a person who jumped into the Bay from the water, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire department received the call at about 11:35 a.m. that a person had jumped into the water near Pier 14, which is just south of the Ferry Building, the dispatcher said.

According to an eyewitness, several fire engines and ambulances were at the scene at 11:50 a.m.

The Coast Guard also was called to respond to the scene.
