On Monday, Jan. 2 Muni will operate on a weekday schedule.

Parking meters (with the exception of Port of San Francisco parking meters) and seven day street sweeping will not be enforced citywide. Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday street sweeping will not be enforced. Hazards are always subject to citation and towing.

Meters on Port of San Francisco property, including The Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf, are enforced seven days per week throughout the year.

Critical Mass
On Friday, Dec. 30 at 6 p.m. the Critical Mass bicycle ride will begin at Justin Herman Plaza.

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

Breakfast of Champions
On Saturday, Dec. 31 from 12 a.m. to midnight, Utah Street between 15th and Alameda streets will be closed for the “Breakfast of Champions” event.

No Muni service will be affected.

2nd Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl
On Saturday, Dec. 31 the UCLA Bruins will play a football game against the Illinois Fighting Illini at AT&T Park. The game will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays on all bridges and freeways leading into San Francisco for at least two hours before the start of the game and for at least two hours after the end of the game. Fans attending the games are encouraged to take public transportation.

Muni customers may purchase their fare in advance at the following locations during the time specified:

· Embarcadero Metro Station 9:30 to 12:30 p.m.
· AT&T Park 1:30 p.m. to 30 minutes after conclusion of game

New Year’s Eve Celebration and Complimentary Muni Service
The SFMTA is providing free Muni service on New Year’s Eve from 8pm to 6am for the twelfth consecutive year. Muni Metro service between West Portal and Embarcadero stations will also be extended to 4am and until 2:15am to 4th and King St. Extra Owl service will be provided for the 5 Fulton, 14 Mission, 22 Fillmore, 24 Divisidero, 38 Geary, 90 and 91 Owl, and the L and N Owl bus routes. Service on the F Market streetcar will also be provided by buses after 4pm.

Those attempting to get anywhere in the city on New Year’s Eve should expect delays near The Embarcadero from about 11pm to 1am, as people leave downtown SF after the 8pm fireworks show.
