A victim of an apparent homicide who was found in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch neighborhood on Thursday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 68-year-old Robert Slivoski.

Officers received a report of a deceased person in the 2000 block of Polk Street at 8:18 a.m. Thursday. They arrived to find Slivoski’s body, which was decomposing, police said.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed that the case is considered a homicide, but the cause and time of the death remained under investigation as of this morning.

No arrests have been made in the case, police said.
