San Francisco police are seeking the public’s help in solving a robbery and assault that seriously injured a man in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood in October, a police spokesman said Monday.
The attack was reported around 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 near the intersection of Jones and Ellis streets.
The 31-year-old victim was walking when he was approached by two suspects who beat and robbed him of his cellphone and cash, according to police.
Friends of the victim found him an hour later and called police. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were considered life-threatening, although he is now recovering from the beating, police said.
The suspects are described only as two black males in their late teens or early 20s.
With investigators coming up empty so far in their investigation, the help of the public is being sought to solve the crime, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
