wave.jpg11:00 AM: An oil slick reported this morning at San Francisco’s Aquatic Park has disappeared, a Coast Guard spokesman said.

The National Park Service investigated the sheen, which was reported at 6:53 a.m. in the water near Fisherman’s Wharf, but was not able to determine the source, Petty Officer Levi Read said.

The oil slick had evaporated by 10:20 a.m., and no further action will be taken, Read said.

No injuries were reported, and no wildlife was affected.

8:55 AM: The U.S. Coast Guard is responding to a report of an oil slick at San Francisco’s Aquatic Park this morning.

A rainbow-colored sheen was reported at 6:53 a.m. in the waters near Fisherman’s Wharf, Petty Officer Levi Read said.

The Coast Guard sent out an incident management team to investigate the sheen, and the team has yet to find a source for it, Read said.

The National Park Service has also responded, he said.
