Chinese Community Street Fair
The Chinese Community Street Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday in Chinatown.

The following street closures will be required for the Street Fair from 11 p.m., Friday to 11 p.m., Sunday.

?? Grant Avenue between California Street and Broadway
?? Pacific Avenue between Columbus Avenue and Stockton Street
?? Jackson Street between Stockton and Kearny streets
?? Washington Street between Stockton and Kearny streets
?? Intersections of Jackson Street, Washington Street and Pacific Street on Grant Avenue
?? All alleys in the area bounded by California Street, Stockton Street, Broadway and Kearny Street

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

The following Muni routes will be affected:

?? 12 Folsom/Pacific

Bayview Library Grand Opening
On Saturday, the grand opening of the new Bayview Library will take place. Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with library service to start at noon.

Revere Street between 3rd and Lane streets will be closed between 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The 54 Felton Muni route will be affected.

Chinese New Year Parade
On Saturday at 5:15 p.m., the Chinese New Year Parade will start from 2nd and Market streets. The parade will travel north on Kearny Street, west on Post Street, north on Powell Street, east on Sutter Street and north on Kearny Street where the parade will disperse at Columbus Avenue.

Staging of the floats will begin at 10 a.m. in the parking lane of Main Street between Market and Harrison streets.

The following closures will be required.

3 p.m. to approximately 5:15 p.m.:

o 2nd Street between Market and Mission streets

4 p.m. to approximately 7 p.m.:

o Market Street between Beale and 3rd streets

o Main Street between Harrison and Market streets

Starting at 4 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m., Post Street between Mason and Market streets will be closed for camera positioning for TV stations.

The Stockton Tunnel will be closed from approximately 5 to 9 p.m.

Cross traffic will be allowed within the staging area until 4:45 p.m.

After the parade clears and the streets have been cleaned, they will be opened to traffic.

3rd Street Segment Closure
As part of the Mission Bay Development, a roadway segment of 3rd Street will undergo pavement renovation, curb and gutter work. From Monday, Feb. 25 to Monday, March 25, the southbound lanes on 3rd Street, between 16th and Mariposa streets will be closed every day for 24 hours. During the closure, southbound vehicles on 3rd Street will use Illinois Street as the main detour (left onto 16th Street, right onto Illinois Street, and right onto Mariposa Street). Southbound vehicles on 3rd Street can also use Mission Rock, Mission Bay Boulevard South, and South Street as alternative detour routes before reaching the closure.

Muni service will not be impacted by this closure.
