sffd_firefighters.jpgFirefighters put out a blaze at a home in San Francisco’s Excelsior District that sent two people to the hospital early this morning, according to a fire dispatcher.

Fire crews were called to a report of a two-story residential structure fire in the 100 block of Athens Street around 12:50 a.m., the dispatcher said.

Fire personnel upgraded the blaze to a two-alarm fire a short time later, and had the fire under control by 2:13 a.m., according to the dispatcher.

Two people suffered undisclosed injuries in the blaze and were sent to a nearby hospital.
One person was displaced by the fire, which is under investigation.
