sffd_fire.jpgA one-alarm fire damaged a home in San Francisco’s Silver Terrace neighborhood this morning, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 6:29 a.m. on the rear deck of a home at 161 Boutwell St., fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The flames spread to the walls and attic of the home before firefighters extinguished the blaze around 7 a.m., Talmadge said.

PG&E was called to the scene to shut off power to the home, according to Talmadge.
No one was injured in the fire, and its cause remains under investigation.

The blaze occurred on the same block as a four-alarm fire back in July that damaged four homes.

Two people who were suspected of squatting at 170 Boutwell St. were later arrested and charged with arson for the July 3 blaze.
