A tsunami warning has been issued for coastal areas of Northern California starting around 80 miles north of San Francisco at Gualala Point and extending north, according to the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
Tsunami warnings have also been issued for Hawaii and parts of British Columbia and Alaska following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred around 8 p.m. this evening 86 miles south of Masset, British Columbia, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
