halloween-candy.jpgA man apparently determined to get his Halloween treats ahead of Oct. 31 walked into a store in San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood Thursday evening and grabbed bags of candy, San Francisco police said.

The robbery was reported at 7:04 p.m. at a store in the 1400 block of Market Street, which is near 10th Street, police said.

A Walgreens is located in that block at 1496 Market St.

The suspect, believed to be a 45-year-old man, walked out of the store with the candy when he was stopped by store personnel who asked he put back the candy, according to police.

The suspect then turned around and punched the 32-year-old store worker repeatedly before fleeing on foot with the candy, police said.
