49ers2.jpgA man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at another car while driving out of the San Francisco 49ers preseason football game at Candlestick Park on Friday night, police said.

Two people approached a police officer at about 9:10 p.m. Friday, explaining that they had seen a driver of a car point a gun at another driver, according to police.

The witnesses described the car and said it was stuck in traffic leaving the stadium onto Gilman Avenue, police said.

Officers eventually spotted the car at Gilman Avenue and Arelious Walker Drive and detained the driver. A search of the car revealed a .40-caliber semiautomatic gun inside along with some loose ammunition in the center console, according to police.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately available, was then arrested, police said.
