bay-bridge-s-curve.jpgAll lanes along the Bay Bridge’s upper deck are now open after a gravel spill prompted a three-hour closure along the bridge’s S-Curve, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert a short time after a truck spilled large amounts of asphalt on the bridge around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, causing three right lanes near the bridge’s S-curve to close as crews cleaned up the spill.

Just after midnight, traffic remained backed up toward University Avenue in Berkeley, and motorists heading toward the Bay Bridge were advised to expect more than an hour-long delay.
