sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA man was arrested after allegedly rear-ending a car, fleeing and then crashing into a building and several parked cars in San Francisco’s Richmond District on Thursday night, police said.

The hit-and-run was reported around 8:30 p.m. near Geary Boulevard and Fourth Avenue.

The suspect, a 28-year-old man whose name was not immediately available, rear-ended a car driven by a 54-year-old woman and then fled the scene, according to police.

However, the suspect was apprehended after also crashing his 2005 Ford vehicle into a building and multiple parked cars, police said.

The woman whose car was rear-ended was transported to a hospital for a complaint of pain but is expected to survive.
