taxi.jpgA taxi driver was robbed while parked in San Francisco’s Mission District early this morning, police said.

The robbery was reported in the 2200 block of Mission Street, which is near 18th Street, at about 3:30 a.m.

The 38-year-old driver was parked at the curb when a suspect approached the passenger side window of the cab, simulated that he had a gun in his sweatshirt and demanded money, according to police.

The victim handed over cash to the suspect, who then fled, police said.
