policeblotter_sfa.jpgAn attempted robbery turned into a stabbing that left a victim seriously injured in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District early this morning, police said.

Police were called to the stabbing near the corner of Ellis and Jones streets shortly before 1 a.m. today, police said.

The victim was standing in front of a business there when someone approached and attempted to rob them.

The robber stabbed the victim in the throat, and the victim staggered to the doors of the business and collapsed.

The stabbing victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
