cover-crosswalk.jpgA woman who died after being struck by a car in San Francisco’s Laurel Heights neighborhood on Sunday evening has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 25-year-old Suzanne Monaco.

Monaco, a San Francisco resident, was crossing Masonic Avenue near Euclid Avenue around 5:20 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle traveling south on Masonic, police said.

She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said Monaco was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.

The driver of the vehicle, a male, stopped at the scene and was not arrested, according to police.

The collision remains under investigation.
