sfpd_squad.jpgA woman was stabbed in the chest and slashed in the face during a fight with another woman in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing was reported at 12:51 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Mission Street, which is near 18th.

The 28-year-old victim and a suspect in her 20s got into an altercation, during which the suspect punched the victim, then stabbed her in the torso and cut her face with a knife, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The suspect fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
