policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was shot in the ankle in San Francisco’s Bayview District early this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1:30 a.m. near La Salle Avenue and Osceola Lane.

The 23-year-old victim was walking when he heard several gunshots, then realized he had been hit, according to police.

A relative drove the victim to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injury, which is not life-threatening, police said.
