A man was fatally stabbed in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday afternoon, police said today.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as 54-year-old Luther Robinson, was found lying on the street at Third Street and Palou Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Robinson was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, described as a man in his mid-40s, had not been found as of today, police said.

This is San Francisco’s seventh homicide of 2012, and, as the Ex notes, the fourth by stabbing.
