police-light-bar1.jpgThe intersection between Market and Eighth Streets was be closed until about 2:30 a.m. Sunday as police investigated the death of a man found dead in the street, officials said.

San Francisco police are investigating a possible hit-and-run after receiving reports of a man lying in the street at about 9:22 p.m. Saturday, Officer Albie Esparza said.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, Esparza said.

Police have not identified any suspects or vehicles involved.
